What To Expect
Discover the Pecio el Peñón, one of the best places to dive in Tenerife, and one of the most exciting diving experiences in the Canary Islands. This artificial reef has become a magnet for diving enthusiasts around the world. For divers from Open Water level whether you are an Advanced diver, or you are looking to improve your skills with the sinking boat specialty, this underwater treasure has something for everyone. Let’s dive into the unique advantages of exploring this iconic site.
When you arrive at the dive center in Tabaiba in the morning, you will be provided with your new clothing and equipment, including wetsuit, mask, fins and dive bottle.
For this diving adventure you need to have at least Open Water certification, but ideally you have advanced. You'll see a lot of marine life too
A few meters from the dive center we find the wreck of “El Peñón”, a tugboat sunk in 2006 to create an artificial reef. Resting at a depth of approximately 30 meters (100 feet), the wreck offers a fascinating insight into maritime history.

A: Participants in the Diving Course in Wrecks in Tabaiba Wreck The Rock cannot fly in an airplane within 24 hours of their dive. The main concern with scuba diving and flying is decompression sickness (DCS).
