SSI Open Water Diver Course in Tenerife
Overview
Experience your first underwater breaths with the amazing aquatic life that Tenerife has to offer. The SSI Open Water Diver Course is a three day course, day one you will complete 5 confined water session in the swimming pool, as well as working on the theory for the course. Days two and three you will complete two Open Water Dives per day from either the boat or shore and finally you will sit a multiple choice exam.

What To Expect
After learning the theory of Scuba Diving we'll go to the swimming pool to practice and perfect the scuba skills you'll need to be able to dive safely.
Once done with the pool we'll do four training dives, two one day and two on another day.

- Diving within 24 hours of flying is not recommended. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor
- A current valid passport is required on the day of travel
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 4 travelers

(7)Q: How soon can I fly in an airplane after Scuba diving?
A: Participants in the SSI Open Water Diver Course in Tenerife cannot fly in an airplane within 24 hours of their dive. The main concern with scuba diving and flying is decompression sickness (DCS). Your body needs adequate time during an ascent to off-gas excess nitrogen, or you can form bubbles in your bloodstream, possibly leading to DCS. Read more Jun 2024
