What To Expect

Experience Tenerifes most spectacular hike in a small group and escorted by a certified and experienced hiking guide!
Our multilingual staff meets you at the designated parking area in Santiago del Teide (gravezard) to take the obligatory shuttle to the picturesque mountain villages´ square. After safetr instruction you will be handed your helmets, your passports/ ID-cards will be checked as well as your boots´ soles (entry into the canyon is only permitted with trekking or hiking shoes in proper conditions!). After a quick toilet-stop in the Visitors Centre we enter the Masca Gorge and start our roughly 3.5 hour descent from 650 metres above sea level until the beach. Our guide explains some peculiarities of the village and the protected area as well as the geological formation of the gigantic rock walls around us. After the hike we have a break nearby the Masca beach and then board the water taxi which takes us to Los Gigantes port, passing just a few meters next to some of Europe’s very highest and steepest cliffs. After this entertaining 15 minutes boat trip we take a taxi back to the car park and have an optional coffee stop all together before everybody hits the own way home.
