Pyramids of Güímar Ethnographic Park and Botanical Garden (Pirámides de Güímar) Tours

I was with my 12-year-old son. Plenty to see. We went through independently with an audiotour.there were also interactive part for the kids very much fun. My little boy really liked the toxic garden. Museum, restaurant, shop, temporary exhibition. It depends on where your interest lies. Lots of walking but Enough rest / sit spots along the way. Staff were nice and helpful. Toilet was mediocre.

Excellent family experience! There is a little game to look for birds that has had a lot of fun for children. Very interesting and it allows to question the story ☺️!

It was a fascinating experience. The site offers a unique look at six pyramides whose origins are still debated today. The visit also includes an Eco Garden with plants from different continents, a Poison Garden with toxic and medicinal species, and a short 15-minute documentary explaining the theories behind the pyramids. Overall, it’s an interesting and peaceful place to explore, perfect for anyone curious about culture, nature, or Tenerife’s lesser-known history. Our guide Michael was very nice and passionate, he toled us lot of interesting things!

We had a fantastic guided tour at the Pirámides de Güímar. Our guide, Michael, was excellent, very knowledgeable and incredibly engaging in the way he explained the history of the pyramids and the surrounding cultural context. He made the tour both informative and enjoyable, always happy to answer our questions. They have also an interesting botanical garden. A wonderful experience overall, and definitely a sustainable activity to enjoy while exploring Tenerife. Highly recommended!

The best of Güímar its people, the worst where we ate Restaurant El Perenquen Gloton. The worst of my life, the worst of the visit. All of us who went, called it a disgusting restaurant, full of flies, with very poor service, and very expensive.

Very nice visit, we learn a lot about the island, 2 hours tour, pyramids and vegetation with a paid audio guide but it is worth it Located in the east of the island pleasant temperatures

Great family visit. We took the audio guide which was very helpful, we would have missed a lot of information if we had not had it. The site is very beautiful, quiet (few people even in August), and very well maintained. Children (6 and 10 years old) also liked it.

The museum has several interesting exhibits including the pyramids. The video is interesting and informative.

But the whole thing is nice.Be careful, to appreciate it you have to go there in good weather (as everything in Tenerife).In short, we enjoyed the visit and had a great time.

Occasionally you have things to do where you don't have too high expectations and then they are surprisingly fun. Well this one fits perfectly in this category. Very informative. Not just about this pyramid, but all about pyramids worldwide, the original inhabitants and about the ocean sailors. Nice setup. Lovely walk with beautiful vegetation. Separate garden with poisonous plants. Definitely recommended. Advice to go for the premium ticket.

The pyramids themselves are not of particular interest, especially since despite their still mysterious origin they seem to be of relatively recent construction. They are an opportunity to take a rather pleasant walk in a quiet environment. The exhibition on Thor Heyerdahl’s adventures is interesting, but I couldn’t find a common thread during the museum visit. The price, 12.50 per person and 8 € for the audio guide is high for visiting such a site.

The ethnographic park is beautifully landscaped, with very informative thematic trails (including ancient civilizations and transoceanic travel), and the exhibits are of high quality. The staff is welcoming and speaks very good French. The toxic garden is nickel. The price is correct and satisfactory for the quality of this open-air museum.

My partner has a manual wheelchair with smart drive attachment. The was a blue badge space right in front of the entrance which were lucky enough to get. There are smooth access paths throughout the site. One of the ticket ladies very patiently explained the site with a map, and provided times to be at certain places. Even following the recommended direction, there were 2 short sharp slopes which we slowly reversed down with the brakes on, and one long slope where I pushed but the smart drive did the hard work. Overall, I would say, this is worth the challenges presented. Very few ancient sites have this level of accessibility, and for us this was a great day out. It surpassed our expectations in its beauty. The staff were very attentive to wheelchair users. The cafe has accessible toilets. The cafe was very well priced compared to other tourist sites, and we loved how quiet it was there (very few people on a Wednesday).

This is a fascinating place to visit so you can see and do something different in Tenerife. The documentary was especially worthwhile, because you learned a lot about Thor Heyerdal and about these pyramids and their connections to other pyramids in the world.There was quite a bit of information around, which was good but honestly too much to take in.I didn't like the difference between the premium and regular tickets. I think it should be one price for everything, not least because the premium ticket was made out to be so much better, but in the end it involved a quick timed look at a very small tropical flowers area and a wander through the poison garden. It wasn't worth the extra cost really.Besides the documentary, the best part was walking around the pyramids and enjoying the views.
